2009 International Workshop on Intelligent Web Interaction (IWI'09)

Currently various Web systems/services provide a great deal of benefits for users, and especially Web interaction are becoming more important both for research and business. Web interaction has been realized through related technologies including interactive information retrieval, intelligent systems, personalization, user interface and so on. However, each study and development has been done independently in different fields, and this might discourage us from studying Web interaction from unified view of human-system interaction and making Web interaction more intelligent by applying artificial intelligence and soft computing. Hence, at this time, we need to hold 2009 International Workshop on Intelligent Web Interaction (IWI'09) to gather various researchers in diverse fields like Web systems, computational intelligence, human-computer interaction and user interface. The preceding workshops (IWI'08 at Sydney, IWI'07 at Silicon Valley and IWI'06 at Hong Kong) were quite successful, and IWI has grown to be one of the largest workshops affiliated with WI.

Also we are preparing a special issue on "Intelligent Web Interaction" in Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (JACIII), organized of selected papers from IWI'09.
